The NAT is used to ensure the confidentiality of internal addresses using invalid addresses within a subnet. There are two mechanisms to do NAT on a network:
- Basic NAT translates a group of IP addresses in another group of IP addresses, without the client noticing.
- NAPT translates a group of IP addresses and TCP / UDP in another group of IP addresses and TCP / UDP

The packages of the same session must go through the same NAT so that information exchange is successful. Then there is only one or NAT that interfaces with the outside of the networkor if you get a series of NAT that is exchanged between the packages. If you use NAT, the IP addresses are globally uniqueand universal, it follows from this that you can use all the security mechanisms to IP, plus all sessions must start from theuser's machine within the network Nattata.
